Laurence Hills (b. London, 1995) 
 

Laurence Hills is a British director and photographer working across fashion, commercial film, and narrative cinema. With a background in design and documentary, including work as a wildlife cameraman for National Geographic, his practice combines meticulous planning with an openness to real behaviour and unpredictability. He often works with non actors and lived-in environments, storyboarding his films himself to create a strong visual framework while leaving space for instinct on set.
 

Alongside directing, he works as a photographer across fashion, film, and editorial projects, creating narrative-driven imagery that draws on cinematic language rather than traditional stills. His work has appeared on platforms including NOWNESS, the BBC, and Channel 5, and his music video Mere Mortal by Deadletter was nominated at the UK Music Video Awards. He recently completed a residency under Paolo Sorrentino in Patagonia and is currently developing his first narrative feature film.
